| 11/26/2016 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | VIDAL | Approved | Rceived call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units were starting to clear the site. They were checking for hot spots and CO levels. The fire investigators were on site checking for the cause. T.E.P. came to site to remove the meter and Southwest gas came and pinned the meter due to the damage. The front of the house burned with a mattress on the floor and taken outside of the unit. They interior has heavy smoke damage through out the unit. The walls and ceiling are lath and plaster and has damage from the fire and water damage. The main fire damage is in the living room area with the heavy smoke going through out. The front door is a total lost due to the fire. The single hung windows are painted shut or hard to open. The glass was broken to vent the house from the smoke. This has another unit in the rear attached and got no damage from the fire. The plaster on the front porch has heat damage near the front door area on the ceiling. Did make contact with the owner due to Southwest Gas has a phone number to call. The owner came to site to check the damage and sign the paper work. The owner gave permission to have the property secured with the City contractor due to unable to get anyone to secure the property. Arcaiden Industries called to the site to secure the openings. The owner stated that the unit was occupied at this time. Will check in 60 days. RV. |
