| 10/28/2016 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | GOODMAN | Approved | visited site, met tfd investigators, found a fire had started below the kitchen sink and did minor damage. investigators were unsure but fire had jumped from below the sink to the north wall of the kitchen burning a small 2 ft x 4ft section of paneling, behind the paneling was wiring for a light switch that operated a light in the kitchen and outside porch. wiring seemed to be ok but the switch was partially melted. investigators had pulled the disconnect in the interior sub panel and had left it out. My inspection found a hoarding situation, kitchen counter tops, sink, ,table and floor full or personal belongings. two of the three bedrooms were full and unable to enter, the third bedroom could be entered but could not exit thru the sliding glass door. Owner of the trailer Wendy Rose was the mother of the occupant Rebbeca Garner. Wendy rose lived in a different trailer, #117 but in the same park. i made the decision because of the fire and location of the fire, and the hoarding situation, to leave the electric off. The occupant will be staying with mother. emergency NOV to vacate was issued and explained to the mother that the elecrical would need to be checked by a licensed electrician, the switch changed out for a new one and the disconnect reinserted by the electrician. i asked that pathways be established and entire kitchen area be cleaned. I asked Wendy to contact me when the pathways were cleaned and I would reinspect. Owners locked up the trailer, no boarding was required, Wendy asked i not post the structure due to large amount of theft taking place inside the trailer park.Doors were locked, personal belongings taken by Rebecca to Wendy's trailer. |
