10/27/2016 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.

10/26/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Met with the owner on the property and a wood frame porch and deck are being built in the front of the mobile home and is detached. Work is still being done and was painting the deck. No permit were issued and the owner thought that a permit was not necessary due to under 200 s.f. Did advise him that beams are lacking where he has currently 2-2 x 4s being used for a beam to carry the load of the roof. He has 2 x 4 rafters on a 2 x 6 ridge. He still in the process of adding wood supports and he was told to wait until the permit has been issued. Will do N.O.V. RV.
12/15/2016 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The work on the porch has been completed. Did talk to the wife and will let the husband know that the permit is required. Have talk to the husband already about the permit being required. Did leave a card for the husband to call. Will check in 45 days. RV.
