10/17/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT GOODMAN Approved VISITED SITE, MET WITH OWNERS OF THE BUSINESS OCCUPYING THE STRUCTURE, WEST POINT CONTRACTORS.ALEX OF W/P CONTRACTORS SHOWED ME SEVERAL AREAS AND PROVIDED PICTURES WHERE THEY HAD CEILING LEAKS FROM THE PAST RAINS. PICTURES SHOWED ME WHERE THE LEAKS HAD BEEN BUT OWNERS HAD SINCE MADE CEILING REPAIRS. PRIOR TO MEETING THE BUSINESS OWNERS I HAD WALKED ONLY A PORTION OF THE ROOF DUETO THE ROOF BEING A FOAMED ROOF. AN UPPER SECTION OF ROOF WAS CLEAN BUT DRAINAGE DID NOT LOOK LIKE IT WAS DRAINING PROPERLY BUT THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF PONDING.I COULD SEE THE SCUPPERS FOR THE LOWER PORTION OF THE ROOF ON THE FAR SOUTH SIDE OF THE STRUCTURE, ALTHOUGH I COULD NOT GET TO THEM, I DID NOT SEE ENOUGH DEBRIS AROUND THE ROOF MOUNT SCUPPER THAT WOULD CLOG THE DRAINING PROCESS, HOWEVER THE FOAM ROOF HAD DIVETS AND MAY AFFECT ROOF DRAINAGE. I WILL MEET WITH RICK FIRST TO REVIEW THE CASE. ** DID MEET WITH RICK SADATE, EXPLAINED THE COMPLAINTS AND SHOWED HIM THE PICTURES FROM WHEN THE CEILING FIRST LEAKED AND EXPLAINED THE REPAIRS TO THE CEILING HAVE BEEN MADE AND I WAS UNABLE TO SEE THE ROOF DEFECTS PROVIDIED IN THE PICTURES. I ALSO EXPLAINED THAT I DID NOT SEE THE LOWER ROOF PORTION (FIRST FLOOR) BECAUSE THE FOAM ROOF CAN BE EASILY DAMAGED WHEN WALKED ON. RICK FELT THAT CODE WOULD NEED TO SEE THE LEAKY ROOF WHEN THE CEILING WAS DAMAGED AND REMOVED TO DETERMINE THE EXTENT OF ROOF SHEATHING DAMAGE. HE FELT THAT FROM PICTURES INSULATION HAD BEEN REPLACED, AND DRYWALL REPLACED BY THE OWNER. rICK ASKED I SIT ON THE CASE FOR A WHILE TO DETERMINE IF THERE ARE FURTHER COMPLAINTS
