06/17/2016 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.
06/17/2016 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-62. TEMPORARY ABATEMENT. If it is determined that a nuisance as provided in section 16-14 is a hazard to the public safety and health, the code official may declare such structure a hazard. After notice is communicated to any owner of record to secure the structure and the owner does not secure the structure to city specifications, the hazard may be summarily abated by the city through boarding. Any and all charges and costs arising from the city taking action to secure the structure shall be a lien filed against the real property containing such a structure.

06/16/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT HOLLANDER Approved Fire call out. Arrived on scene and met with TFD. TFD secured gas and electric. The electric is on a master meter system. The trailer pedestal was locked out by the property maintenance. Gas lines were pressure tested Southwest Gas and found no leaks. There is no gas or meter to the structure. The trailer is individually owned and the owner was present. Property maintenance secured the area with a fence. Owner secured structure. My findings are as follow: > The exterior wall siding and skirting was damaged. A 4x8 area. > Interior ceiling and wall drywall fire damaged. The areas of damage to include the bedroom and laundry room. > The top plate, bottom plate and studs on the outside wall were fire damaged in the bedroom. > There is heavy smoke damage to the walls and ceilings of the bedroom, laundry room, kitchen and dinning room. > There is minor smoke damage to the remaining portions of the mobile home. > The trailer pedestal has a 100 amp breaker feeding the trailer with a cord. > The conductors are not properly marked. > There are multiple terminations of conductors in the pedestal. > The pedestal appears to be a 50amp rated pedestal. > The panel raceway sleeve has the feeder cord and multiple cables tightly packed into the area. This area was fire damaged. > The panel, breakers and wiring was fire damaged. > The branch circuits feeding out of the top of the panel and up into the ceiling were fire damaged. > The wiring, outlets, receptacles and switches were fire damaged. > There was a missing floor ventilation register. > Pictures were taken. See Sire > NOV for damage was issued for damage. > NOV for damage was issued for emergency abatement and to vacate. > Indemnification form was signed by property manager. > Permits are required.
