05/08/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT GOODMAN Approved TFD CALL FOR FLOODED REDONDO TOWERS, FLOORS 1 THRU 6 HAD FLOODED AND POWER TURNED OFF AT THE MAIN SERVICE PANELS, 1 PANEL PER FLOOR, AND EACH FLOOR HAD A PANEL ROOM THAT INCLUDED EACH UNIT PER FLOOR. MET WITH TFD CAPTAIN AND MANAGER VERNIE. VERNIE HAD ALREADY CONTACTED RED CROSS AND TNT WATER RESTORATION. BOTH WERE ABOUT AN HOUR OUT. > I WALKED THE FLOORS BY MYSELF TO DETERMINE FLOODED AREAS, HALLWAYS ON FLOOR 5 & 6 WERE THE WORST, 1 THRU 4 GOT BETTER. > MADE DECISION TO WALK ALL UNITS WITH DOWN POWER TO DETERMINE THE EXTENT OF WATER DAMAGE, AND WHERE POWER COULD BE RESTORED. TFD CAPTAIN, MYSELF, AND MANAGER VERNIE PROCEDED TO GO UNIT BY UNIT STARTING AT THE 6TH FLOOR. WE NOTED WHERE WATER DAMAGE OCCURED IN EACH UNIT AND TO WHAT EXTENT WAS THE DAMAGE, WHETHER OR NOT POWER COULD BE RESTORED. >WATER DAMAGE IN FLOORS 1 THRU 4 WAS MINIMAL THOSE 4 FLOORS HAD POWER RESTORED IMMEDIATELY, EACH UNIT WAS MARKED ON THE ENTRY DOOR IF WATER REMIDIATION WAS NECESSARY, WHERE AND TO WHAT EXTENT. TENNANT S WERE ALLOWED TO RE ENTER THEIR UNITS. >POWER WAS RESTORED TO FLOORS 5 & 6 BUT 6 UNITS WERE TURNED OFF AT THOSE UNIT BREAKER BOXES IN THE PANEL ROOM. > TNT RESTORATION WAS TOLD WHAT UNITS AND HALLWAYS REQUIRED REMEDIATION IMMEDIATELY STARTING AT THE 6TH FLOOR AND VERNIE WORKED WITH TNT WITH SMALLER INDIVIDAUL UNITS TO REMOVE WATER QUICKLY AND GET TENNANT PLACED BACK INTO UNITS. > RED CROSS STARTED PROCESS TO PLACE TENNANTS IN 6 UNITS >TNT STARTED WATER EXTRACTION ALONG WITH HELP FROM REDONDO TOWER MAINTANENCE >KAZAL FIRE MADE NECESSARY REPAIRS TO THE BROKEN SPRINKLER HEAD AND SPRINKLER SYSTEM UP AND RUNNING BY 4:00 PM. > MANAGER WAS ASKED TO PUT OUT A LETTER TO ALL RESIDENTS THAT IF ANY FURTHER DAMAGE IS NOTICED BEYOND THE WATER ISSUES THAT MANAGER BE NOTIFIED FIRST OF REQUIRED REPAIRS. (LETTER WAS RECEIVED BY C/E FROM THE MANAGER) >MANAGER ALSO DID A EXCELANT JOB HELPING MANAGE THE SITUATION, NEW TENNANTS BY NAME, HELPED TFD WITH THE ELECTIRCAL SITUATION , KNOWLEDGE OF ALL SERVICE PANELS AND PANEL ROOMS.
05/24/2016 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE GOODMAN Approved RE VISITED SITE, MET WITH MANAGER VERNIE WHO STATED EVERYTHING HAS DRIED OUT AND REQUESTS FOR REPAIRS HAVE BEEN TAKEN, REDONDO TOWERS IS WAITING FOR INSURANCE COMPANY TO COMPLETE THEIR CLAIM AND VERNIE FELT THAT IT WOULD BE SOMETIME THE IST OF JUNE IF NOT THE FOLLOWING WEEK . > TILES IN THE HALLWAYS HAVE BEEN REMOVED TO ALLOW ABOVE CEILING WATER DAMAGE TO GET DRIED OUT. >TILE, WOOD FLOORING AND SOME CARPETING REMOVED AND TO BE REPLACED. REDONDO TOWERS MANAGEMENT APPEARS TO HAVE THE SITUATION UNDER CONTROL. CODE ENFORCEMENT HAS RECEIVED NO FURTHER CALLS ON THE PROPERTY. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE.
