10/22/2015 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Receive call from Rick Mendoza a supervior that call came in for power being taken from an other unit due to lacking power to his unit. Arrived and unit #108 was getting power from #208 due to lacking power to the unit. On Sunday there was a electrical fire in the main disconnect and the meter was blanked by T.E.P. The tenant did call T.E.P. due to the electrical went off. The buse bar was damaged inside the main disconnect and was not able to leave the power on. The management was allowing an extension cord from the upstair unit to the bottom unit. The tenant was connecting to a 6-pack surge protector than powering appliances and again connecting other extension cords to the refrigerator, microwave, TV, etc. The extension cord was removed leaving no power to the unit. The tenant was vacated from the unit and was placed in another unit. Did have the paper work signed by the manager and they were going to help the tenant move to the other unit. Did go over that a electrician is required and a permit is required and will have to make arrangements for a power kill to make the repairs. The manager does have prices and trying to decide which company he is going to use. Did the posting of "Do Not Enter" on the front window and once done with moving items out will lock the door. Will check in 10 days. RV.
11/27/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The unit is vacant and secured. The tenant is still in the other unit and will be staying in the unit moved to from now on and will not be moving back to the unit. The manager has gotten prices for the work to be done and not sure when the work is going to be done. Will check in 30 days. RV.
