10/14/2015 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a gas ordor. Arrived and the units had cleared the site. Did meet with several tenants and showed where the gas smell was. Did find where T.F.D. did turn off the valves to 2-gas meters and one left on with another pinned. Unit #9 and #26 were turned off at the valves by T.F.D. and the units were vacant and secured. Unit #10 was occupied and the unit was checked by T.F.D. and had no gas smell in the unit or the exterior. Unit #25 was pinned and was vacant and secured. Did find unit #27 opened which was vacant and was not able to lock the door. Did check several unit where the tenant allowed to check the interior and found no gas smell in those units. Did walk the property due to has 32-units. Did call S.W.G. to the property and did have a survey done and was OK for the property. The tech. did turn on unit #9 and the gas meter was running. Due to the unit being vacant the meter was pinned off. Unit #26 was turned on and was OK and due to being vacant was also pinned off. Unit #10 was left on due to was OK when tested and was occupied. Did call the phone number on the banner on the front of the building and got no answer but did get a phone number to call the emergency person. Did make contact with the emergency person and did let him know what happened on the property and what was being done and he did not have to come to the property. Was just making him aware that we were on the property and had an issue with the gas. The unit that was unable to secure will be checked in the morning. Due to not having issues with the gas smell will be closing the case. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
