Arrived and the fire units have cleared the site and the fire was on the stove in the kitchen. The fire damaged the hood system and burned some of the cabinets. Did try and turn on the power back on and was not able to due to the wiring was damaged inside the wall and carried onto the ceiling area. The unit did have smoke detectors and the only damage was contained to the kitchen area. There was holes made in the drywall to check for fire and the damage of the wiring. The meter was pulled by T.E.P. due to the damage of the wiring. Does have smoke damage through out and heavier in the kitchen area. Did try and make contact with the owner of the property and had to leave a message. The occupant was the manager of the property and will check with the owner tomorrow. The occupant will be staying with family members. Did do a posting of "Do Not Enter" on the front window and the tenant locked the doors. The tenant signed all the paper work and left the property. Will need a permit to get the power back on once the repairs have been made to the electrical. Will check in 30 days. RV. |
