11/05/2015 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | VIDAL | Approved | Met with the person staying in the trailer. He stated that he is renting and the management is stating that he owns the trailer. Did find several issues that will not allow the person to stay in the trailer. The heater is not working and is currently using candles in the living room area to give some heat to the trailer. Has lamp oil lamps burning in the bathroom are for lighting and heat due to lacking the light fixture. In the living room has an electrical box where romex wiring has been added to the ceiling to install a fan on the ceiling. The light fixture is lacking in the kitchen area, the range hood is not working, the refrigerator is on an extension cord due to the outlet is not working that is near the refrigerator. The bathroom floor has soft areas through out the area, the tub is not connected at the drain and able to see the ground level through the drain. The exterior doors have double key deadbolts, the washer box for the washer machine has been spliced and lacking an electrical box, has a conduit that something removed and laying on the ground. The exterior steps have a ramp to the steps on one side and has holes and the wood has weathered. The roof leaks and currently has a plastic kids pool in the bedroom that catches the water when it rains and places buckets in several other areas when it rains. The person has tried to repair the roof with a coating and keeps leaking in different areas when patched. The electrical outlets are not working on the south side due to the breaker keeps popping and keeps being reset and pops again. Did call the management for the park to let them know that the unit is being condeumned due to the hazards and will be vacated at this time. Did talk to Rick Saldate on vacating the unit and given permission. Did place the "Do Not Enter" on the front window and the person in the trailer signed all the paper work due to the management stating that he owns the trailer. The person did find a place to stay and will be leaving the trailer by dark time. Will send copies to the manager by fax and they will be working on the trailer once is has been cleared of the items of the person staying in the trailer. Will check in 30 days. RV. |
