| 09/12/2015 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | VIDAL | Approved | Received call from inspector William Navarro that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the fire units were clearing the site and the fire investigator were on site checking for the cause of the fire which started in the southeast bedroom. The overhaul was going to be done once the investigation was completed. The electrical meter has been blanked due to the fire damage. The gas meter was pinned due to the fire damage and the survey and the line test were OK. The water meter was left on and the water valve was turned off due to the bathroom valves were leaking and not able to stop the water from coming out of the valve. The owners did show to the property and met with the kids and the sister of the tenant. The tenants did get some of the items out and will come back tomorrow to remove some more of the items out of the house. The back doors were able to lock with the locks on the door. All the windows were secured except the window in the living room due to not broken. There is a section on the side of the living room which is a diffent section and was not opened and not affected by the fire or smoke damage. The house has heavy smoke damage through out. Holes have been made in the ceilings and walls to check for fire and those were of drywall lathing and plaster. The fire started in the southeast bedroom and burned into the hallway going into the 2-bathrooms. There were 2-vent holes cut in the roof over the southeast bedroom and hall bathroom by the fire department. The house did have a pool in the rear of the house and the owner did place locks on all the gates to the rear yard and posted No Tresspassing signs on all the gates. Once the windows were boarded up and took pictures did leave the scene. The owner was going to work with the tenants on moving the items out of the house or getting what they need out at different times. The Redcross did show to the property and the tenant will be staying with the sister for now. Will check in 45 days. RV. |

All the lath and plaster has been removed from the walls and ceilings. The house is posted for "No Tresspassing" and "Do Not Enter". Work is being done to start the repairs and replacements from the fire damage. The permit has been issues and then changed to revision due to still has a balance and the plans are in the process of being re-checked for approval. Will check in 60 days. RV. |
