09/23/2015 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.

STRUCTURE WAS APPROX. 14 FT X 32 FT WITH 2 X 6 RAFTER 24" OC. POST AND BEAM WERE 4 X 6, AND ALLPOINTS OF ATTACHMENT HAD PROPER HARDWARE. THERE WAS NO CONCRETE SLAB FOOTINGS WERE THE PRE FAB CONCRETE FOOTERS WITH TIE DOWNS INSTALLED IN THE CONCRETE. **TRIED CONTACTING OWNER, LEFT A MESSAGE WITH MY CONTACT NUMBER. ** 9/24 RECEIVED A CALL BACK FROM JESUS PELAYO STATING HE WOULD LIKE TO MEET ME ON SITE TO GO OVER THE STRUCTURE AND ANY CHANGES THAT MAY NEED TO BE MADE. STATED HE WORKED IN PHOENIX AND WOULD LIKE TO MEET ON 10/01/2015 TO GO OVER THE STRUCTURE AND REQUIREMENTS. MR PELAYO STATED HE MAY NEED ADDITIONAL TIME ONLY BECAUSE HE DOES WORK IN PHOENIX. I ASKED HE GET STARTED AND MOVE FORWARD AND TAKE A LOOK AT WHERE HE IS AT IN 25 DAYS, PRIOR TO 30 DAY TIME FRAME.
