CHECKED FRONT WINDOWS AND DOORS FOUND ALL OPENINGS PROPERLY SECURED AND FOUND A LOCK BOX ON THE FRONT DOOR KNOB. CHECKED REAR WINDOWS AND DOORS AND FOUND WINDOWS SECURED BUT NO THROW BOLT IN THE LATCH THAT WOULD SECURE THE DOOR. WENT INSIDE AND DBL CHECKED THE WINDOW LATCHES AND FRONT DOOR. INTERIOR WAS IN GOOD CONDITION, NO VANDALISM, JUST DUSTY INSIDE. CONFIRMED THAT GAS, ELECTRIC AND WATER HAD BEEN TURNED OFF, THERE WERE NO UTILITIES. FENCE THAT DIVIDED THE FRONT AND REAR YARD ON THE EAST SIDE WAS PROPERLY INPLACE BETWEEN THE HOUSE AND WALL, BUT DID FIND WEST CHAINLINK FENCE UN LOCKED AND REAR DBL GATE REMOVED FROM HINGE AND WIDE OPEN. I CHAINED AND LOCKED THE REAR GATE BOTH ON THE HINGE SIDE AND LOCKED THE DBL GATES TOGETHER. I NAILED THE REAR DOOR SHUT AND PLACED BLOCKS AGAINST THE REAR STORAGE DOOR, DUE TO UNABLE TO COMPLETELY SHUT THE DAMAGED DOOR AND JAMB HOWEVER YOU CANNOT ENTER THE HOUSE FROM THE STORAGE SHED. I PUT A LOCK ON THE WEST GATE TO COMPLETELY SECURE THE REAR YARD AND AVOID ENTRY FROM THE REAR YARD. I SPOKE TO 3 NEIGHBORS, 2 WEST NIGHBORS BOTH STATED THE OWNER PACKED A UHAUL TRAILER AND MOVED NEVER SAYING ANYTHING. A PERSON WAS TAKING CARE OF THE PROPERTY BUT HAS NOT BEEN SEEN IN ABOUT A YEAR. THE NEIGHBOR TO THE EAST MADE THE COMPLAINT BECAUSE SHE HAD SEEN KIDS CUTTING THRU THE REAR YARD TO GET TO THE STREET AND ON OCCASION SAW THEM ENTERING THE STORAGE SHED. THERE IS NOTHING OF VALUE IN THE SHED, ONLY THE WATER HEATER. *** SPOKE WITH BOTH RICK S. AND MARTIN R. AND BOTH AGREED THAT THE ACTION TAKEN TO SECURE THE PROPERTY AND STRUCTURE WAS SUFFICIENT AND CASE SHOULD BE CLOSED. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE.
