04/14/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE GOODMAN Approved PRIOR TO INSPECTING THE PROPERTY I MET WITH RICK SALDATE AND ASKED IF I SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR ANYTHING DIFFERENT THAN ADDED LIVING SPACE AND INFORMED RICK OF POSSIBLE ADDED WINDOWS TO THE EAST WALL. RICK ASKED I LOOK AT ANY ADDED ELECTRICAL OR ANYTHING OUT OR THE NORMAL OF BEING JUST A GARAGE. ** MET WITH OWNER AND TENANT OT THE PROPERTY, TENANT OPENED THE GARAGE DOOR, TENANT HAD HIS CAR PARKED IN THE GARAGE. CONCRETE FOR THE GARAGE HAD BEEN ORIGINALLY POURED WITH A CURB STOP AT THE NORTH WALL AND STORAGE ON THE WEST WALL THAT ALSO HAD A STEP DOWN. I FOUND ONLY THE ELECTRICAL FOR THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER, AND THE SWITCH FOR THE LIGHT. OWNER STATED THAT THE WINDOWS HAD BEEN ADDED TO THE EAST WALL, THE ORIGINAL DOOR ON THE EAST WALL HAD BEEN MOVED TO THE NORTH WALL BELOW AN EXISTING WALKWAY FROM THE GARAGE TO THE HOUSE. OWNER ALSO STATED THEY MOVED THE DOOR BECAUSE THE DOOR OPENED TO A COURT YARD WITH NO COVERING. THEY DID NOT MOVE THE LIGHT OR WIRING BECAUSE THE EXISTING LIGHT PROVIDES PLENTY OF LIGHT FOR THE DOOR RELOCATION. I CAN ONLY ADD THAT THE STUCCO PATCH AND DRY WALL PATCH AROUND THE WINDOWS AND DOOR ENCLOSER WAS WELL DONE MATCHING THE EXISTING STUCCO PATTERN AND DRYWALL TEXTURE. THE GARAGE HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED TO A LIVING SPACE, I MET AGAIN WITH RICK S. AND EXPLAINED MY FINDINGS. RICK STATED WE WOULD NOT REQUIRE A PERMIT FOR THE WINDOWS. NO VIOLATION / CLOSE CASE.
04/14/2015 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT GOODMAN Approved 3/26/2015 I VISITED THE SITE, FOUND CARPORT IN QUESTION, ON THE WEST SIDE WALL OF THE CARPORT WAS ONLY THE MAIN DISCONNECT, ON THE SOUTH WALL WAS THE GARAGE DOOR, AND ON THE EAST SIDE WERE TWO WINDOWS AND A LIGHT. I COULD NOT SEE THE NORTH WALL. ON SURROUNDING CONDOMINIUMS I FOUND ALL STRUCTURES HAD THE SAME TYPE GARAGE WITH A DOOR AND A LIGHT OFF THE GARAGE. MY ASSUMPTION WAS THE WINDOWS WERE ADDED, AND MAYBE THE DOOR MOVED. THE FRONT GATE WAS LOCKED AND I RANG THE DOOR BELL NEXT TO THE GATE, TRIED ON TWO DIFFERENT VISITS. ON 4/03/2015 I TRIED CONTACTING THE OWNER ON AT THE GRANT RD ADDRESS AND THE NAVLINE CONTACT NUMBER, LEFT TWO MESSAGES, TWO DIFFERENT DAYS. ON 4/14 I DID MAKE CONTACT WITH THE TENANT AND ASKED FOR THE OWNERS CONTACT NUMBER. TENANT PROVIDED THE OWNERS NUMBER AND A INSPECTION WAS MEETING WAS MADE WITH THE OWNER FOR THE SAME DAY.
