12/19/2014 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT COX Approved Went to residence this morning at 09:00 for a scheduled inspection and there was no answer at the door. Will attempt to reschedule.
12/29/2014 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE COX Approved Was able to reschedule for 14:00. There were several problems identified. A new furnace was recently installed and do so without permit. The installer ran new ducting through the bathroom against a wall and ceiling then boxed it in with drywall. There is a water leak outside the bathroom door in the hall at the return air intake for the HVAC system. The is an unpermitted addition to the rear of the main dwelling unit into which the dishwasher dumps its waste water. There is a utility room at the west end of the addition which houses the new furnace as well as a water, both gas fired appliances. The toilet in the hall bathroom is non-functional. The tenant did advise that she would be moving out soon, perhaps by the end of the year. She gave me the number of a property manager whom I contacted today. The PM explained that the tenant was being evicted today. I explained that the code violations would still need to be addressed. I will send an NOV to the PO for the violations.
