08/06/2014 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT COX Approved Found a sign advertising a handyman service leaning against a picket fence at the sidewalk. I called the owner to explain the complaint and the sign code in residential zones. The homeowner immediately became belligerent and began swearing at me. He stated he would move teh sign to the roof of his house and I told him that was fine as long as it was no larger than one square foot in size. He responded with a comment stating it was his house and he would do whatever he pleased. I explained I would be forced to issue a citation and he said he would just tear it up and I told him that was fine. He then began sewaring at me again and said "you're dead" and I said goodbye and terminated teh phone call. I will follow up in a few days to see if the sign is removed and if not I will issue a notice of violation.
