07/31/2014 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT COX Approved A fire which originated in the garage completely destroyed the garage and it's contents. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the garage however there was interior damage due to firefighting operations and smoke proliferation. The main electrical service was damaged and the meter was booted by TEPCO. SWG representative disconnected the NG to the residence based upon a leak he discovered, most likely due to the water heater which is located in the garage. The homeowners were at the scene when I arrived. I was able to get their infor and explain the events to follow. The owners contacted their insurance carrier and TM builders were dispatched to secure the property. I followed up the 30th and the property was secured. The garage was boarded up and a chain link fence was placed around the burnt vehicles in the driveway as well as the side yard. Follow up 60 days.
