The fire was in the kitchen area over the stove. A pan was on the stove with grease and caught fire burning the cabinets over the stove and some of the drywall. The range hood is a total lost. The range hood was removed and the power was turned back on. The unit has light smoke damage through out. The blinds in the kitchen window have heat damage on the top portion and were hard to close. The tenant was going to lock the doors and signed the paper work. Once the unit is cleaned up the tenant can remain in the unit. Did find a house keeping person and she called the manager and will meet with the tenant on the insurance claim of the rental insurance. Will check in 10 days. RV. |

The tenant may be moved if not able to get used to the smell. All the ductwork has been cleaned, the filter changed in the AC unit, the carpet cleaned and the wall all washed down.
