Every dwelling unit, guest room, and congregate residence shall be provided, in at least one habitable room, with either mechanical cooling or an alternate cooling method. | 03/29/2014 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | VIDAL | Approved | Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units were clearing and the fire investigators were checking for cause of the fire. The living room, dinning room and the kitchen were fully involved in the fire. A vent hole was cut in the roof near the living room and hallway. The windows were broken in the living room, dinning room and the kitchen. The wires were cut at the riser for the electrical and the gas meter pinned in the alley. There was a gas leak in the alley for another area and had nothing to do with the fire area. The damage was done to the plaster walls and ceilings with heavy smoke through out. Found no smoke detectors in the house. The house was almost vacant due to the tenant has been arrested and the sister was staying in the house. Was not able to find the owner and called Bathcrest to have the property secured. Secured all the door openings (3), 4-windows were boarded up with one being on the side door to the laundry room. The carport area started to burn with some charing on the siding. The kitchen cabinets are burned and the glass to the door was broken. Did take pictures and did the posting of N.O.V. to vacate on the front window. The person staying in the house went to a friends house. Will try and locate the owner on Monday. RV. |
