11/19/2013 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | RHOLLAND | Approved | I visited the site and found Roofing equipment and materials behind the units. This is a 20 unit apartment complex. On accessing the roof I observed the entire roof surface being redone. Some areas were being scraped clean and prepped. Other areas showed evidence of new sheets of plywood being replaced. There was progression with areas having had tar paper already lain down. I posted a 'Stop Work Notice" on the building. The contractor was talked with and explained that permits were required for this work. In trying to help the contractor out due to late hour I contacted Lee Ray of PDSD to help the contractor be able to obtain permits and inspections. There was concern due to forecasted rain in the upcoming days. Inspections Supervisor Martin Romero arrived on site to assist me and confirm that permits were required. He spoke with the contractor and also a concerned tenant. I then visited PDSD to meet with Lee Ray to show him the pictures I took to help him understand the details of the case. He agreed that a permit is required. |
