11/23/2012 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT RVIDAL Approved Received a call from Joseph Reed from the office and T.F.D. on site with a mobile home fire. Arrived and the units were doing the over haul and checking for heat in the wall and ceiling. There was a fire in the wall in the rear bedroom and had wire nuts in several areas in the damaged area. The mobile has has other issues with the electrical through out the mobile home and the electrical will be turned off at the pedistal to the lot number #35. The cord was cut at the plug where the wire nuts have been added to match the outlet on the pedistal. The interior panel has been modified inside the panel and needs to be changed or repaired if possible. Extension cord has been added in the kitchen area for the appliance on the counter and not the proper size, it's zip cord. The pedistal has been lock with a city lock and the breakers have been turned off bdfore locked out. The meter is private and the owner of the property will remove the meter and install a cover over the meter opening. The person living in the mobile home signed all the paper work and will secure the doors and windows when ready to leave to another site. Gave cards with my phone number to the owner of the park and the person living in the mobile home. Did let the person living in the mobile home know that he needs to let someone know that he will bo on the property from the management of the park. The mobile home has other issues and will be address by the area inspector. The mobile home can only be re-occuppied by having the mobile check for Min. housing condition before it can lived in again. Will check in 10 days. RV.
