Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. 07/16/2012 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT LPUMPHRE Approved Site inspection at "Anytime Auto & Tire" showed 1) tires positioned on the top extension of the building's facade (extends 3-4 above actual roof) for the length of the facades (west, north, etc.). It is not clear whether the tires are secured in some unseen fashion; it appears unsafe, adds load to roof, changes appearence of facade, etc.; 2) a wall and pole sign and two banners are present without permits (Anytime Auto & Tire); 3) a small shed, unprotected with paint, was built in front of the north facade, impeding access to front of building from rear, and limits parking; 4) an addition built without permits was added to the east side of building in the corner that connects this building with the restaurant; it is built over an original rear exit door and extends to the top of the facade; it appears open at the top with another vaulted structure on top (photo); 5) A facade was added to the rear (east facing) portion of the building, extending and enclosing it several feet to the height of the north facade; 6) electrical circuits have been added without permits to the exterior (east) of the building at or on the new work; 7) storage of tires on the east side encloses and prevents access to the main elecrical panel.
