Any swimming pool or other contained body of water that contains water 18 inches or more in depth at any point and that is wider than 4 feet at any point and is intended for swimming must be properly secured and maintained so as not to create a hazard to public safety, a health hazard or attractive nuisance, and shall be entirely enclosed by a wall, fence or other barrier that is adequate to prevent access by children. Water shall not be allowed to stagnate or to harbor insect infestation.
08/06/2012 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-14(b)(3) ABATEMENT OF VACANT AND UNSECURED BUILDINGS. When ordered abated, a vacant and unsecured building shall be cleaned and secured as follows: a. All accumulated refuse that poses a fire or health hazard within or upon the property or premises shall be removed; and b. All unsecured doorway, windows, or exterior openings shall be barricaded in accordance with standards established by the code official, which shall be kept on file with the city clerk, and in accordance with section 16-12(a)(3) of this chapter; and c. Both the structure and the exterior premises shall be posted with signs that provide reasonable notice prohibiting entry (i.e., "No Trespassing" signs).

06/01/2012 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT DCOX Approved House is vacant and abandoned. Property was foreclosed and sold at auction 02-04-12 and B of A is the new owner of record as of 02-23-12. The residence is secure and there were no broken windows at the time of inspection. The pool is about 1/4 full of very alge laden water and other debris. There is some debris and trash throughout although not in excess. The laundry/storage area in the carport is accessable however does not have access to the main residence. There were some boxes and other debris in the carport area. The weeds and other vegetation were slightly overgrown but not excessively. I'll send and NOV to B of A and see if I get a response.
08/06/2012 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE DCOX Approved House is still secured. Gate to rear yard has been forcibly opened and the locking mechanism has been damaged and the yard is no longer secured. Research has revealed that Bank of America has taken legal ownership of the property. Will send and NOV.
