All heating facilities shall be free from health hazards associated with ventilation, mounting, electrical and gas connections and other defects. Unvented fuel-burning heaters must be of a listed and approved type, and are prohibited as the sole source of heating. Ovens, stoves or ranges, or other cooking appliances cannot be used for the purpose of heating any portion of a dwelling. Listed, portable space heaters may only be used as the sole source of heating on a temporary basis when the permanent heating system is being repaired or replaced. |

THE BROTHER HAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL FOR CHECK UP DUE TO FOUND IN THE HALLWAY PAST OUT. HE WAS TRANSPORTED AND WILL BE THERE FOR AWHILE. FIRE CAPTAIN SHOWED WHERE A FLOOR GAS HEATER WAS ON AND SMELLED LIKE GAS LEAKING IN A BEDROOM. T.F.D. TRIED TO TURN OFF AT THE VALVE AND NOT ABLE TO TURN OFF COMPLETELY. S.W.G. CALL TO THE SITE AND THE VALVE WAS CHANGED TO A NEW ONE AND A CAP WAS PLACED ABOVE THE VALVE AND THE FLOOR HEATER WAS NOT CONNECTED. WHILE CHECKING THE ROOM WHERE THE HEATER WAS LOCATED, FOUND NO WORKING SMOKE DETECTORS IN THE BEDROOMS OR IN THE HALLWAY. HALLWAY HAS ITEMS BEING STORED AND BLOCKING ACCESS TO MOVE AROUND THE HALLWAY FOR RAPAID ESCAPE IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY. FOUND WHERE THE BEDROOMS ARE ALSO BEING BLOCKED TO THE WINDOWS AND SOME TO THE DOORWAYS. T.F.D. TRYING TO FIND GRANDSONS OR NEPHEWS TO CHECK ON GETTING ASSISTANCE ON THE MOVING OF ITEMS TO HAVE CLEAR PATHS TO ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS. WENT TO STATION 1 TO GET SMOKE DETECTORS AND COMMUNITY HOME REPAIR ON SITE AND WILL INSTALL 3-SMOKE DETECTOR IN THE 2-BEDROOMS THAT ARE CURRENTLY BEING USED TO SLEEP IN. THEY HAVE CONSETRATORS ON 3-DIFFERENT ROOMS WITH OXYGEN LINES ON THE GROUNG. WHEN COMING BACK WITH THE SMOKE DETECTORS THE NEPHEW CALLED AND WAS ABLE TO TALK TO HIM AND WILL MEET AT THE SITE TOMORROW TO A PACKET TO APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE FOR REPAIRS ON THE HOUSE. WILL GIVE THE N.O.V. AT THE SAME TIME. FIRE INSPECTORS SHOWED AND LET THEM KNOW WHAT THE VIOLATION WE WERE GOING TO APPLY ON THE PROPERTY. THEY WERE GOING TO LET CAPTAIN JEFF LANGEGEST WHO WORKS WITH HORTING ON THE PROPERTY'S. WILL CHECK TOMORROW WITH THE GRAND NEPHEW AT SITE. RV. |
