| 02/15/2011 | VIOL - FIRE SERVICE FEATURES | jdavis | Correction Required | RECIEVED A FOLLOW-UP REQUEST FROM FIRE ALARD CONCERNING THE SPRINKLER SYSTEN AT THE ABOVE ADDRESS. MET WITH JOHN MCKETHEN (CREDIT MANAGER) AT THE SIGHT ON FEB. 14, 2011. FINDINGS: I found that the system was in service, however, one of the risers was shut off (OS&Y). Mr McKethen advised me that the valve had been shut off for 6 months and that Central Alarm had indicated t5o them that it was not needed. I research the sprinkler plans since the building had been built in two stages. Spoke with Dave Holliday at central alarm on Feb. 15, 201. He advised me that their system is in compliance and in service, however, the system was built with two water sources...one of which is a supply that has been provided with an OS&Y but not all the component of a riser. Upon my visit I found that the sprinkler break was above the OS&Y Central Alarm is planning to plug that line because it is not required for the system. I have contacted Fire Alarm and informed them that the system is in service. No further action is required. |
