06/09/2011 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT DCOX Approved Car into building. Vehicle struck a portion of the building where a window had been infilled with block. There was some structural damage to the top corner of the N/E portion of the building however no collapse hazard. The building is currently unoccupied. Property owner was on scene when I arrived and took care of the shoring and securing. NOCV issued and owner advised of permitting requirements follow up 30 days.
06/10/2011 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE DCOX Approved Follow up inspection today, building has been secured. Owner is waiting for the City to formally state where the property lines will ultimately wind up when Grant Rd is widened. Until then he will not make any repairs to the building as some of the building may have to be altered to accomodate the widening. Case closed.
