Ch. 16, Sec. 16-11(a)(1) The presence and operations of window openings, size and condition of exits, bars, grills, grates covering windows and openings shall allow for safe and rapid egress in emergency situations. At least one window and all doors in living/sleeping rooms in dwelling units must have an operable release mechanism that allows safe and rapid egress without the use of separate tools.
06/14/2011 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-12(a)(2) PROTECTIVE TREATMENT. All exterior wood surfaces, except for decay-resistant woods, must be protected from deterioration and from the elements by paint or other protective treatment or covering. Any exterior wood surface that has paint that is peeling, flaking, cracked, blistered or chipped, resulting in bare, unprotected surfaces, the deteriorated condition of that surface must be eliminated and the surface repainted. All metal surfaces subject to corrosion or rust must be treated or coated to inhibit corrosion and rust, unless corrosion or rust is a design element.

Every foundation, wall, roof, chimney and all exterior surfaces of buildings and structures shall be maintained in structurally sound condition and shall provide weather protection. All wood showing evidence of termite damage or decay, where structural or functional integrity is impaired, shall be replaced.

06/06/2011 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT RVIDAL Approved RECEIVED CALL FROM RICK SALDATE MY SUPERVISOR THAT A CALL IS IN FOR A HOUSE WITHOUT WATER AND JOY HAS THE PACKET. ARRIVED AND NO ONE HOME BUT WAS ABLE TO HEAR A DOG IN THE HOUSE. CHECKED THE GAS METER AND HAS BEEN PINNED IN THE ALLEY. THE ELECTRICAL METER HAS BEEN TURNED OFF DUE TO LACKING PAYMENT IN THE REAR OF THE HOUSE. WATER SHOWS THAT IT'S BEEN OFF SINCE 4-2-09 BUT UNABLE TO CONFIRM THAT THE WATER IS ON. THE YARD HAS BEEN CLEANED AND THE TRASH AND DEBRIS IS PLACED IN THE ALLEY IN THE REAR OF THE HOUSE. I DID CHECK WITH SOME OF THE NEIGHBORS AND THEY CAN NOT CONFIRM OF ANYONE STAYING IN THE HOUSE. THEY HAVE SEEN PEOPLE CLEANING THE YARD BUT THAT'S IT. I DID TRY TO CALL THE PHONE NUMBER THAT WAS LISTED ON THE NAVALINE AND THEY DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS LOCATION. I DID LEAVE A CARD ON THE DOOR WITH MY PHONE NUMBERS TO CALL ME. I TRIED TO CALL TUCSON WATER TO CONFIRM IF THE WATER SHOULD BE ON AND UNABLE TO GET THROUGH. TALK TO MY SUPERVISOR ON THE FINDINGS AND WILL CHECK AT A LATER DATE. RV.
12/07/2011 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE HLOPEZ Approved COMPLIANCE INSP. No progress made, walked site, back door found open, laundry rm has large hole to gain access to interior. Vandals have removed drywall to gain access to copper plumbing & wiring, furnace removed. Attempted contacting Admin, left message informing of breached structure & structure required boarding by contractor. Board up contractor contact, issues reviewed, structure was secured by boarding. Property has been sold through courts, new owner has not taken procession. Case to be moved to observe status 45 day fw/up
