02/07/2011 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT GPETZ Approved Responded to emergency callout at 5440 / 5450 E. Pima Street. Vacant storefront in strip mall. Sprinkler system in souffit of 5440 E. Pima Street. Emergency callout from Tucson Fire Department. No structural damage in and around storefront buildings. Water in 5440 and 5450 storefronts is from under door and windows. Owner Richard Gee arrived on scene at approx. 2:25 PM. Water leak stopped dripping at approx. 2:30. TFD left site at approx. 2:00 PM. TFD Fire inspector Glenn D' Auria arrived on scene at approx. 2:45 PM. Announced site was OK. Informed owner that because sprinkler system was inoperable, each store would need to have a person acting as fire watch person, doing nothing but watching for fire. Fire Inspector departed at approx. 3:05 PM Inspector Vidal delivered barricades to site at approx. 3:30 PM. Inspector Vidal and Inspector Petz barricaded site at 3:45. Inspector Vidal delivered three (3) TFD cones to Battalion Chief at Ace Hardware. Inspector Vidal and Inspector Petz departed site at 3:45 PM.
