01/12/2011 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT DCOX Approved Met with the tenant and the LL at the residence yesterday, 01-11-11, to inspect the claims of the tenant. I was able to identify a few minor code violations. There was a broken window in the main living room of the house that had been repaired by placing a piece of plexi-glass over the outside of the frame however the inside still contained broken glass as the winmdow was a dual pane. There was an area at the outside of the residence where an exterior wall was missing some blocks near the base of foundation. While there were no structural integrity concerns the openeing would allow for the migration of exterior elements such as cold air as well as insects or rodents. I the bathroom the toilet was said to be malfunctioning and the tank fill valve was not shutting off the water flow as designed. The property owner was present and I spoke with him after the inspection to insure he understood what was in need of repair. The LL stated and the tenant confirmed that the tenant would be vacating the residence ASAP so I advised the owner to wait until the tenant was out before attempting to make repairs.
02/14/2011 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE DCOX Approved Tenant has vacated the home. Case closed.
