The means of egress for buildings or portions thereof shall be maintained in accordance with this section. 1028.2 Reliability. Required exit accesses, exits or exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the areas served by such exits are occupied. Security devices affecting means of egress shall be subject to approval of the fire code official. 1028.3 Obstructions. A means of egress shall be free from obstructions that would prevent its useā¦. _____ Maintain clear aisle width throughout entire length of means of egress. Do not leave stock or waste in front of back door. Do not allow stock or waste to diminish required width of exit aisle. Boxes shall be stacked in an orderly manner and shall be removed if they begin to collapse or lean. *** This has been a recurring problem.
