10/05/2010 VIOL - MEANS OF EGRESS JLONGO Correction Required 1008.1.8 Door operations. Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. 1008.1.8.5 Unlatching. The unlatching of any door or leaf shall not require more than one operation. 1008.1.8.4 Bolt locks. Manually operated flush bolts or surface bolts are not permitted. _____ Remove the slide bolt from your rear egress door. _____ Remove the drop bar system from your rear egress door. _____ Fix your back egress door to make it open freely. 1028.2 Reliability. Required exit accesses, exits or exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the areas served by such exits are occupied. 1028.3 Obstructions.
