Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. _____1. Service the kitchen hood extinguishing system and correct all noted deficiencies on the inspection report. _____2. Service the class K portable fire extinguisher located in the kitchen. _____3. All cooking equipment shall be located under the kitchen hood system.
08/24/2010 VIOL - FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS JBURGE Correction Required IFC 904.11.6.3 Cleaning. Hoods, grease-removal devices, fans, ducts and other appurtenances shall be cleaned at intervals necessary to prevent the accumulation of grease. Cleanings shall be recorded, and records shall state the extent, time and date of cleaning. Such records shall be maintained on the premises. _____1. Clean and remove all grease accumulation from the kitchen hood system. NOTE: Provide documentation of the cleaning.
