In the event of power supply failure, illumination shall be automatically provided from an emergency system for the following occupancies where such occupancies require two or more means of egress: all Emergency lighting shall be functional and properly maintained in conjunction with IFC section 1027. _____ Fix, repair, or replace the emergency lighting unit(s) in order to meet code standards. _____ Add additional lighting units to create a safer path of egress above egress doors as your current exit signs do not have internal backup power. 1028.2 Reliability. Required exit accesses, exits or exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the areas served by such exits are occupied. 1028.3 Obstructions.
