06/10/2010 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-11(e) PLUMBING SYSTEMS. (1) Dwelling units shall be provided with one or more bathrooms equipped with a water closet, lavatory, and either a bathtub or shower. The number of water closets and lavatories for commercial buildings shall be determined by the International Building Code based on the use of the building. Each sink, bathtub and shower shall have hot and cold running water as necessary for its normal operation and use.
06/10/2010 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-11(b) (2) COOLING. Every dwelling unit, guest room, and congregate residence shall be provided, in at least one habitable room, with either mechanical cooling or an alternate cooling method. Cooling facilities shall be installed and maintained in a safe condition and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, and shall be capable of providing adequate cooling, appropriate for the climate, to assure a safe living environment. Evaporative cooling shall be maintained to be free of excessive rust, corrosion or mineral deposits that limit proper operation. Any mounting apparatus for a cooling facility must be structurally sound. Mechanical fans or portable evaporative cooling devices may only be used on a temporary basis as the sole source of cooling when the permanent cooling system is being repaired or replaced.
