09/28/2009 COMPL - INITIAL INSPECTION JLONGO Approved I was called out as the on call inspector to Circle K in repsonse to Tucson Fire personel being called out for a fire hazard. Upon arrivel I was informed by the batallion cheif that they had responded to a fire call about machinary that was about seven feet away from gas pumps and releasing an open flame from it's stack. After further investigation and through guidiance of one of my supervisors we narrowed down that the machinary was in fact a incinerator used to burn off contaminated soil. I was not able to see if the machinary was functioning properly I tried to contact "Blaes Environmental (620) 728-0707, to find out more information but was unable to make contact. For saftey measures I detemined that it was best to place a red tag on the machinary and issue a stop-work order until the system could be evaluated by experts in the field of the incinerater and underground tanks. *** NOTE *** Fire Inspector Funke will follow up on the complaint/violation and red tag. ________________________________________________ (Joseph P.
