Unless otherwise exempted by the fire code official, visible hazard identification signs as specified in NFPA 704 for the specific material contained shall be placed on stationary containers and above-ground tanks and at entrances to locations where hazardous materials are stored, dispensed, used or handled in quantities requiring a permit and at specific entrances and locations designated by the fire code official. _____ Label all tanks and containers of flammable/combustible liquids and all other hazardous materials. TFC 105.6.16 - Flammable and combustible liquids. An operational permit is required: 3. To store, handle or use Class II, Class IIIA or Class IIIB liquids in excess of 25 gallons in a building or in excess of 60 gallons outside a building... _____ Obtain permits for all above-ground storage tanks (AST)'s (This tank is an IBC which does not require vents. Applicant shall provide a drawing showing location and contents of tanks and have them properly labeled) Chapter 906, Portable Fire Extinguishers TFC 906.2 - General requirements. Portable fire extinguishers shall be selected, installed and maintained in accordance with this section and NFPA 10. (Professional maintenance yearly, manual inspection monthly, affix a tag to the extinguisher with records of these activities.) _____ Extinguishers shall be inspected by occupant monthly and professionally serviced annually. A tag shall be affixed to the extinguisher with records of these activities. TFC 605.1 - Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the code official responsible for enforcement of the ICC Electrical Code.
