10/05/2009 VIOL - FIRE SERVICE FEATURES JLONGO Correction Required 510.1 Identification Fire protection equipment shall be identified in an approved manner. Rooms containing controls for air conditioning, sprinkler risers and valves, or other fire detection, suppression, or control elements shall be identified for use of the fire department. Approved signs required to identify fire protection equipment and equipment location, shall be constructed of durable materials, permanently installed and readily visible. _____ Place the wording "RISER ROOM" on riser room door to properly identify the fire service features location.
10/05/2009 VIOL - BUILDING SVCS & SYSTEMS JLONGO Correction Required 605.3 Working space and clearance A working space of not less than 30 inches in width, 36 inches in depth, and 78 inches in height shall be provided in front of electrical service equipment. Where the service equipment is wider than 30 inches, working space shall be no less than the width of the equipment. No storage of any kind shall be located within the designated working space. _____ Maintain proper working space around all electrical panels and equipment according to code. Required exit accesses, exits or exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the areas served by such exits are occupied. 1028.3 Obstructions.
