| 08/19/2009 | INSP - FULL | NSPRENGE | Violation | The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business . Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). 1.__Problem: Two exit signs are not lit. TFC 1011.4 Exit signs are to lit at all times. CORRECTION: You will cause your exit signs to light at your South exit from dining room and over your main entrance. 2.__Problem: There is a key locking cylinder on your rear kitchen exit and a manual surface bolt on your dining hall exit that has panic hardware. TFC 1008.1.8 Door operations. Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily opened from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. CORRECTION: You will remove the key locking cylinder and replace with a thumb bolt turn latch. The manual surface bolt on your dining exit must be removed. 3.__Problem: Your electric panel in the kitchen has an open socket. TFC 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. CORRECTION:You will place a blank in the opening in your electric panel. 4.__Problem: There are no records of your last hood inspection/ cleaning on the premises. TFC 904.11.6.3 Cleaning. Hoods, grease-removal devices, fans, ducts and other appurtenances shall be cleaned at intervals necessary to prevent the accumulation of grease. Cleanings shall be recorded, and records shall state the extent, time and date of cleaning. Such records shall be maintained on the premises. TFC 904.11.6.4 Extinguishing system service. Automatic fire-extinguishing systems shall be serviced at least every 6 months and after activation of the system. Inspection shall be by qualified individuals, and a certificate of inspection shall be forwarded to the fire code official upon completion. CORRECTION: You will provide the fire marshal with a copy of the hood inspection and the hood cleaning upon reinspection in two weeks.
