Where the service equipment is wider than 30 inches, working space shall be no less than the width of the equipment. No storage of any kind shall be located within the designated working space. _____ Maintain proper working space around all electrical panels according to code 605.4.2 Power supply Relocatable power taps shall be directly connected to a permanently installed receptacle. ____Remove daisy-chained multi-plug adapters. 605.5 Extension cords Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only with portable appliances. _____ All extension cords shall be removed and/or replace with approved fused power strips.

Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. _____ Remove drop bar and hardware from exit doors. 1027.5 Illumination emergency power. The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, illumination shall be automatically provided from an emergency system for the following occupancies where such occupancies require two or more means of egress: all Emergency lighting shall be functional and properly maintained in conjunction with IFC section 1027. _____ Fix, repair, and/or replace the emergency lighting in order to meet code standards 1011.5.3 Power source. Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. To ensure continued illumination for the duration of not less than 90 minutes in case of primary power loss, the sign illumination means shall be connected to an emergency power system provided from storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator.
