Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. _____ Remove the double-key locks from the gates at your rear egress patio and/or replace with an approved locking device such as, thumb turn lock or panic hardware 1027.3 Exit sign illumination. Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated. The face of an exit sign illuminated from an external source shall have an intensity of not less than 5 foot-candles (54 lux). Internally illuminated signs shall provide equivalent luminance and be listed for the purpose. _____ Fix, repair, and/or replace all non-working exit signs in order to meet code standards.
