05/11/2009 VIOL - FIRE RESIST.RATED CONST JLONGO Correction Required 703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, fire-stops, shaft enclosures, partitions, smoke barriers, floors, fire-resistive coatings and sprayed fire-resistant materials applied to structural members and fire-resistant joint systems) shall be maintained. Such elements shall be properly repaired, restored or replaced when damaged, altered, breached or penetrated. 05/11/2009 VIOL - MEANS OF EGRESS JLONGO Correction Required 1027.5 Illumination emergency power. The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, illumination shall be automatically provided from an emergency system for the following occupancies where such occupancies require two or more means of egress: all Emergency lighting shall be functional and properly maintained in conjunction with IFC section 1027. _____ Fix, repair, and/or replace the emergency lighting unit(s) in order to meet code standards 1028.2 Reliability. Required exit accesses, exits or exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the areas served by such exits are occupied. 1028.3 Obstructions.
