04/24/2009 INSP - FULL ALOPEZ Correction Required This afternoon I was approached by Mr. Harold Harrison, a resident of Park West Mobile Home Park, 3003 W. Broadway. Long story short, he says property management at this park refuses to enforce fire parking and access codes (or direct residents to comply). He claims that on any given day, cars, trucks and maintenance vehicles line both sides of the streets, making them inaccessible for ambulances and fire trucks. He's obtained copies of the Fire Code, as well as opinions of someone named Martin, whom he claims works at FHQ. He also said one of our inspectors has been out to observe the situation but did nothing about the problem. Mr. Harrison, though cordial and calm, threw out the L word on more than one occasion, basically saying that Tucson Fire will be held liable if an emergency is not properly handled due to access restrictions we knew about but did nothing to correct. I told him I'd ask our Prevention Division to examine the matter. Can you examine the matter? Mr. Harrison's phone number is 243-0137, he lives on site - space 132.
