03/29/2009 | COMPL - INITIAL INSPECTION | RDRAVES | Approved | Captain Carlton: On 3/27/09 engine 12 was dispatched to an fire alarm at 2520 e harrison. What I found when the property rep came on scene was scary. First we could not fine the fire alarm panel and we look for 30 minutes. In the storage area there was no space to walk or move around because of the very poorly stacked products of all types. I would not let my people into that area just for safety let alone to fight fire. Looking up in the store and storage areas there were 12 sprinkler heads covered or damaged in some way. In talking with the rep she stated "We had a fire inspector in here just last week and he also took 30 plus minutes to find the panel". Be advised we never found the panel. I know that some of these matters and problems I found need immediate attention , This from a firefighter safety view and also Public safety. I would appreciate any help with these problems as soon as possible and could you let me know at to the results. Norm thanks for your help with this matter. |
