02/06/2009 INSP - FULL NSPRENGE Approved I drove to address and looked in the alley next to the dumpster. There was some reddish/orange colored dirt scattered in the alley and an odor was very slight. I spoke with the complaintant who stated the neighbors house had been sprayed with preemergent the day that she became ill. I spoke with the building owner who tracked down the ground keeper who sprayed. The preemergent is "Pendulum" and is normally put down in yards. No immediate hazards to health unless ingested or through direct contact with large amounts. The landscape company came out and removed the small amount of dirt in the alley that was causing the neighbor to worry, and wet down the area. I drove by today and the remaining spill was gone, the ground was wet and there was a smell of petroleum which is common to this product. No health hazards noted. Product has been removed.
