07/21/2010 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-12(a)(2) PROTECTIVE TREATMENT. All exterior wood surfaces, except for decay-resistant woods, must be protected from deterioration and from the elements by paint or other protective treatment or covering. Any exterior wood surface that has paint that is peeling, flaking, cracked, blistered or chipped, resulting in bare, unprotected surfaces, the deteriorated condition of that surface must be eliminated and the surface repainted. All metal surfaces subject to corrosion or rust must be treated or coated to inhibit corrosion and rust, unless corrosion or rust is a design element.
07/21/2010 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-12(b)(3) ROOFS. The roof of every building or structure shall be maintained in a safe condition and shall provide weather protection for that building or structure. Roof coverings shall not be rotted, broken, split, buckled or otherwise deteriorated. T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-12(b) FOUNDATIONS, WALLS, ROOFS, AND CHIMNEYS. Every foundation, wall, roof, chimney and all exterior surfaces of buildings and structures shall be maintained in structurally sound condition and shall provide weather protection. All wood showing evidence of termite damage or decay, where structural or functional integrity is impaired, shall be replaced.
07/21/2010 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.

12/15/2009 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT ASMITH Approved MULTIPLE VOLITION WERE FOUND ON THE PROPERTY RANGING FROM HAZARDS ELECTRICAL WITH WATER HEATERS AND PLUGS TO WALL RECEPTACLES PLATES MISSING OR BROKEN. A/C UNITS ARE ALSO HEATERS AS WELL AND DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT SIZE UNITS IN THE BOX, THERE WAS HAZARDS ELECTRICAL WIRES BEING USE TO POWER THE UNITS. WATER HEATERS WERE NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED TO CODE WITH SHUT OFF VALES AND EXPOSED WIRING. SOME OF THE UNITS DID NOT HAVE SMOKE DETECTORS, OR THEY HAD THEM AND THEY DID NOT WORK. FOUR UNITS HAD BROKEN WINDOWS AND WERE BOARDED. THERE WAS OUTSIDE LIGHTS PUT UP TO LIGHT THE PARKING LOT AND THE VOLLEYBALL COURT THAT HAS THE WRONG TYPE OF LIGHT AND WAS DONE WITHOUT PERMITS. THE POOL IS GREEN AND NEEDS TO BE CLEANED OR DRAINED. I HAVE TALKED TO TRACY WILLIAMS AND SHE HAS ASKED RICK SALDATE TO GO WITH ME TO SEE IF WE HAVE WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO SHUT DOWN THE PROPERTY. WE WILL MEET FIRST THING IN THE MORNING TO LOOK AT THE PICTURES AND COME UP WITH A GAME PLAN.
