06/30/2009 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT DCOX Approved House fire. Fire started in an electrical conduit outside residence igniting some vegetation, burning up the south facing exterior wall and extending into the attic space. The fire did extend into the living area of the residence however did little more than somke damage. Some damage to walls and ceiling due to firefighting operations. The home was exceedingly cluttered with all manner of personal belongings, trash, debris, litter, refuse. There was no apparent clear path of egress to the main entrance of the residence. This may have been in part to the firefighting operations however due to the amount of clutter, it is most likely that egress from the interior to the exterior via the main entry dorr was totally obstructed. Further it appeared there was no access to the kitchen area of the residence. There was a side entry door on the south facing wall of the home which led into a sleeping room and bathroom. There was a very small path or area that a person could move about in that room. Outside there are two JMV's, one Chevy Blazer and one GMC Blazer. The yard was littered with much debris and refuse. The vegetation was mostly dead and dying. Weeds and grass overgrown. SWG Copr confirmed that there was no active account at the address however Ms. Bradshaw was living there. The entire rood structure was destroyed and will need to be replaced should the owner/occupant decided to rehab. the home. There is an old mud-adobe structure which appeards to have been a garage to the south of the main dwelling which is in a very advanced state or disrepair and should be demolished or rehabed. The main dwelling was declared unfit for occupancy , posted and condemned. TEPCO booted the electriacl meter. If the home is going to be restored, and electrical servcie upgrade will be required. An NOV will be issued to the owner for the outstanding violations as well as the required restoration or demolition.
