Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Multi-plug adapter in office. TFC REFERENCE: 605.4 Multiplug adapters. Multiplug adapters, such as cube adapters, unfused plug strips or any other device not complying with the ICC Electrical Code shall be prohibited. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Install UL approved power strip and remove cube adapter from wall outlet. ___2. PROBLEM: Fire extinguisher in office not on bracket. TFC REFERENCE: 906.7 Hangers and brackets. Hand-held portable fire extinguishers, not housed in cabinets, shall be installed on the hangers or brackets supplied. Hangers or brackets shall be securely anchored to the mounting surface in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have fire extinguisher mounted on bracket in accordance with manufacturer's instr. ___3. PROBLEM: Some lint build up noted behind dryer. TFC REFERENCE: 304.1 Waste accumulation prohibited. Combustible waste material creating a fire hazard shall not be allowed to accumulate in buildings or structures or upon premises. AND: Section 316.2 Clothes dryers. Clothes dryers shall be frequently cleaned to maintain the lint trap and mechanical and heating components free from excessive accumulations of lint. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Keep area behind dryers in laundry room free of lint build up as this is a fire hazard.
