10/11/2007 | INSP - FULL | MWAINWRI | Violation | I HAD A MEETING TODAY WITH ROBERT PRINCE 10/11/07 ABOUT THE PLACEMENT OF THE FIRE LANE SIGNS AND THE RED CURBS BEING PAINTED. ROBERT PRINCE SHOWED ME THEIR SAHUARA VILLAGE NEWSLETTER AND IT STATED THAT IT WAS THE FIRE MARSHALL THAT REQUIRED THE CURBS TO BE PAINTED RED ACCORDING TO THE 1996 CODE. (TFD USES THE 2006 FIRE CODE) ALEX WRIGHT (HOA PRESIDENT) WAS NEVER TOLD THAT IT WAS MANDATORY TO PAINT THE CURBS RED BY MA19. WHEN THE NEW SIGNS WERE INSTALLED THEY MOVED ONE SIGN TO ANOTHER LOCATION. WITH THIS MEETING OVER I CONTACTED ALEX WRIGHT AND MET WITH HIM THIS AFTERNOON. ALEX WILL GO TO DSD AND SEE IF THERE ARE PLANS WITH THE PLACEMENT OF THE FIRE LANE SIGNS. IF THE PLANS DO NOT SHOW THE PLACEMENT OR NO PLANS ARE AVAILABLE THEN ALEX WRIGHT WILL GET APPROVAL TO KEEP THE SIGNS WHICH ARE CURRENTLY IN PLACE. IF APPROVAL CANNOT BE OBTAINED THEN THE SIGNS WILL BE REMOVED. |

09/12/2007 | VIOL - FIRE SERVICE FEATURES | MWAINWRI | Approved | 2006 IFC D103.6 FIRE LANE SIGNS I MET WITH ALEX WRIGHT TODAY (9/12/07) AND WENT OVER THE CODE WITH HIM ABOUT REPLACING THE FADED FIRE LANE SIGNS. THE ORIGINAL SIGNS HAD THE CITY CODE PRINTED ON THE BOTTOM OF THEM AND ALEX WAS TRYING TO FIND OUT WHERE TO PURCHASE SOME NEW SIGNS. UNDER THE NEW 2006 CODE THE NEW REQUIREMENTS IN THE MODIFICATION SECTION NOW USE THE UNIVERSAL SYMBOL. WE WALKED AROUND THE COMPLEX OBSERVING THE SIGN PLACEMENTS AND THEY SEEMED TO BE OKAY. I DID MENTION THAT HE COULD CHECK THE ORIGINAL PLANS DOWNTOWN FOR VERIFICATION IF NEEDED. WE ALSO DISCUSSED PAINTING THE CURBS RED AND SAID THAT WOULD BE OKAY AS IT WOULD INDICATE THE BEGINNING AND ENDING OF THE FIRE LANE BUT IS NOT MANDATORY. |
