03/13/2007 INSP - FULL FCONTRER Violation 2003 IFC-605.5 Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. extension cords shall not be affixed to structures, doors, or floor covering. Extension cord shall be used only with portable appliances. 2003 IFC-310.2 Smoking shall be prohibited where conditions are such as to make smoking a hazard, and in spaces where flammable or combustible materials are stored or handled. This is in the bays open repair shop area. 2003 IFC-2211.2.3 Self-closing metal cans shall be used for oily waste (oily rags). Thenoikly rags where all over the shop, on top of the work benches, floor in the mechanical room. The rag bin was made of cloth, need to get metal cans. 2003 IFC-315.2 Storage in building. Storage of combustibles materials in building shall be orderly. Paper, cardboard other combustibles are thrown throughout the shop. Housekeeping is bad. 2003 IFC-2211.2.1 Cleaning of parts. cleaning of parts shall be conducted in listed and approved parts-cleaning machine. The parts cleaner is damaged shall repair. The fusable links was wired in the open postion, If a fire in the reservoir was to occur the lid would not close. 2003 IFC-105 Permit are required for all tanks in the business. Have Corp. fax to the business. 2003 IFC-2211.3.1 Equipment. Applaiance and equipment installed ina rrepair garage shall comply with the provision of the internatioal Building Code, International Mechanical Code, oil pump not UL lsted. 2003 IFC-315.2.3 Equipment room : combustibles materiaal shall not be stored in boiler room, mechanical rooms or electrical equipment rooms. Oily rags and paper in this room. 2003 IFC-3404.3.3.4 Empty containers or portable tanks storage. shall be stored as required for filled containers and portable tanks, cover or plugs on top of drum shall be replaced on the open tops to prevent water from filling drum, causing over spill. 2003 IFC-2206.5 & 2704.2.2 Secondary containment for outdoor storage areas, tanks exceeding 1,000 gallons. The waste oil tank will need secondary containment, because of the waste oil in the secondary containment.
