03/02/2007 VIOL - FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS WCUMMING Correction Required 907.20.5 Maintenance, inspection and testing. The building owner shall be responsible for ensuring that the fire and life safety systems are maintained in an operable condition at all times. Service personnel shall meet the qualification requirements of NFPA 72 for maintaining, inspecting and testing such systems. A written record shall be maintained and shall be made available to the fire code official. A manual fire alarm pull station in the cafeteria was found to be inaccessible and not visible because of storage. Manual pull devices shall be visible at all times and shall never be blocked.
03/02/2007 VIOL - MEANS OF EGRESS WCUMMING Correction Required 1027.3 Obstructions. A means of egress shall be free from obstructions that would prevent its use, including the accumulation of snow and ice. Exits, including the exit access and exit discharge areas from the cafeteria into the MPR room and from the MPR to the outside were found to be blocked or obstructed by miscellaneous storage. All exit areas shall be maintained free from all obstructions at all times.
